Of all of the emotions in the animated film Inside Out, which is your favorite?

Anger, Fear, Joy, Disgust, Sadness?

We all experience every emotion, but if you could pick one to have most of the time, wouldn't it be ... JOY?!

The definition of joy from Webster's dictionary is “the emotion evoked by well-being, success, or good fortune or by the prospect of possessing what one desires: delight; the expression or exhibition of such emotion: gaiety; a state of happiness or felicity: bliss.”

What is your definition of joy?

I named my business Chasing Joy Yoga because I feel that joy is the only word that truly describes what the world is “chasing.” If you have everything that you need, or what you think you need or want, and you don't have blessedness, delight, bliss, happiness, gladness, glory, jubilation, and triumph, what's the point of it all?

Jesus said in the Amplified Bible in John 15:11, “I have told you these things so that My joy and delight may be in you and that your joy may be made full and complete and overflowing.”

Albert Einstein said, “I want to know God's thoughts ... the rest are just details.”

I want to know God's thoughts about me, my choices, and about the world around me. I want His encouragement and guidance towards true joy. This is why I teach Holy Yoga. I want to share God's word, yoking it into our yoga practice together so that we can become joyful people, spreading love, peace, and, of course, joy into the world.

Let's all inhale love and exhale peace and joy into the world and see what that might look like ...
